This mask has three steps to it. Step1: Facewash, Step 2: Essence, and Step 3: the mask itself.
Step1: Real Water Cleansing Foam
It was a nice foaming face wash that left my face feeling clean, but not very dry like many other cleansers. There was enough in the package to not only wash my face without scrimping but also my neck. I found it was a lightly scented, similar to “Ivory” soap.
Step 2: Vita Snow Essence:
There was tons of essence in the little pouch and my skin absorbed it really quickly. Although I didn’t find the cleansing foam left my skin very dry, the essence felt amazing on my skin and was just what it wanted. From what I can tell looking into this mask, there was very little English on the package, the essence contains niacinamide. Niacinamide is supposed to improve uneven skin tone, fine lines, and dullness, among many other things. It’s probably because of all these great features that JayJun wanted to treat your skin with it twice.
Step 3: Real Water Brightening Black Mask
Fit: I found this to be one of the better fitting fabric masks I’ve tried. As can be seen in the picture on the packaging, this mask has plenty of slits to help fit the contours of your face. And it was the first sheet mask I’ve tried to actually come close to fitting over my nose.
Fabric: Made with charcoaled oak, it had a bit of a texture to it that reminded me of paper. Even with the texture it still managed to feel very soft, if a little on the heavier side. It was very porous, which helped get more of the essence into my skin instead of staying in the packaging.
Essence: The essence for the mask seemed to be a slightly different one than the “Vita Snow Essence” as it had a bit more of a smell to it. Luckily it was a pleasant scent. Since the mask came with a separate essence I wasn’t expecting there to be a lot within the mask itself, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was one of the few masks where I felt like I could visibly see a difference after using the mask, maybe because of the two essences.
Cute: The packaging is nice, and I enjoyed that all the steps are serrated to make it easier to open them. I didn’t find there to be anything particularly cute about either the mask or the packaging, although I did enjoy the bright orange.
Overall: I really liked this mask and enjoyed having multiple steps to it than just the sheet mask. I didn’t find it to be particularly expensive for having more steps to it either (roughly $5CAD) which I was very happy about. It’s definitely a mask I’ll use again, probably while re-watching “The Package”
